So, what do YOU think?
I have heard the feedback from Johan, now it’s time to hear what my friends think!
We have just returned home from our “destination Christmas” in Oz.
While there were many, many things we loved about it and will for sure return (dare I say next year?), it was an incredibly untraditional Christmas season for us.
Even though we were surfing and BBQ-ing instead of skiing and fondue-ing, we did uphold the all-important tradition of ending one year thinking about our family goals for the next.
On New Years Eve, we put the kids to bed, popped open the fizz and started dreaming about 2019.
We began with our travel goals because.... well honestly because they are the most fun (Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam made the list for this year, yeah!). And then we worked our way down to the more serious things like career & family.
As the talks got a little bit more real, Johan somehow dropped a not-so-subtle hint that perhaps I could try to have a little more patience in 2019.
Pardon me?
While I probably didn’t take that suggestion very well at the time, it did nudge me to start thinking.
In the corporate world your team, your boss, your colleagues give you feedback. In our families, the children are c o n s t a n t l y sharing their (very frank) ideas. And, in almost every other area of life, we get signals on what is hot and what is not.
So, why not enjoy some good ole feedback from your friends?
I'd love for you to give me something (aside from my apparent need for more patience!) to focus on and write about in 2019! Click here to let me know.
What would you like to hear more about in 2019?
Are you interested in life in Tokyo and how it differs to other places we’ve lived - like New York, London and Zürich?
Do you want to know more about our travels in & around Japan?
Tokyo's crazy street-style? The food? The cityscapes?
Sake? Sushi? Kimonos?
The ups & downs of expat living and daily life stuff?
How our children are adapting and growing?
I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas - just click here and let me know what you think!
Have a fab start in the new year,
Sx
PS: No joke, it would be great to hear from you..the good, the bad and the (nice!) criticisms.
