Let’s get together
Hello there, let me introduce myself.
I’m Stacie… an American career-girl, who was going for it in New York, when I met a Dutch guy…. that crazy Dutch guy not only became my husband, but also changed the entire course of my life.
I won’t spoil the story, or tell you what happened next.
But suffice to say that up to today, I have lived in four different countries on three different continents. I have travelled to over 30 different countries and there are many, many more on my list.
Through this travel and adventure there have been some happy bits…
Johan and I got married (celebrations in both my Pennsylvanian hometown and in Amsterdam), we began a family (three munchkins who were born and raised in Switzerland until April 2017 ) and now live far away from the little island where we met.
and some tough bits…
Try as we might, we can’t escape from it! Of course, our (mis)adventure has been laced with our share of stress. We’ve suffered thru the losses of loved ones. We’ve suffered personal losses. And in February 2019, I suffered a stroke.
but thru it all, keeping it real.
So, here I am, living in Japan, raising our third culture children and dealing with the aftermath of my stroke. Those things that don’t break us, give us good stories!
