I’m inspired by you!

You gave me great advice! Seriously, I can’t do this without you.

I’m beginning to think that everything happens for a reason.

Let me explain…

I put it out there that I was (crazily enough) going to run the New York City Marathon in 2020. I turned to you for advice.

Not only did you give a wealth of other information, you also gave your “fashion” suggestions. Which I turned too immediately… (can you say all the gear and no idea?).

Your advice turned out to be golden...

You told me to run with Hoka shoes. I’d never heard of them! So, I kept that in my back pocket.

However, on Tuesday, wouldn't you know that I saw another mother at school (yipppppeeee the kids are back at school!) wearing these shoes.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I have a new running partner… and not just any ol’ running partner.

On our first run, Laurel, who was pushing her 3 year old in a stroller while carrying on a full conversation, not breaking a sweat and I, who simply could not keep her tempo to save my life and who made each and every excuse to pause (Oh! My shoe lace. Again!) got to know each other.

I told Laurel about my crazy dream to run the marathon in 2020.

She kept quiet.

At the end of our run, presumably where she was going to start her real run, Laurel left me with some good advice. She told me this and that about my next run and what I should and shouldn’t do.

She sounded quite competent…

And here’s the thing, Laurel is rather competent… in fact you, with your keen advice, found me my running coach.

come on, check it out!
